Hello! I’m Joshua Weissman, and I’m here to help you create delicious and nutritious meals that are simple and easy to make. My first suggestion for you is to recreate Wendy’s chicken burger at home.
Ingredients:
– 2 chicken breasts (preferably organic) – $6.99 at Trader Joe’s
– 1 tsp. smoked paprika – $2.49 at Trader Joe’s
– 1/2 tsp. salt – $1.99 at Walmart
– 1/2 tsp. black pepper – $2.99 at Walmart
– 2 tbsp. olive oil – $6.99 at Trader Joe’s
– 3 burger buns (preferably whole wheat) – $2.49 at 99 Ranch Market
– 3 lettuce leaves – $0.99 at Trader Joe’s
– 3 tomato slices – $1.49 at Walmart
– 3 pickle slices – $2.99 at Trader Joe’s
– 3 slices of American cheese – $2.99 at Trader Joe’s
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Butterfly your chicken breasts, so they are thin and cook evenly.
3. In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
4. Rub the spices onto both sides of each chicken breast.
5. Heat 2 tbsp. of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
6. Once the skillet is hot, add in your chicken breasts and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
7. Transfer the chicken breasts onto a baking sheet and place them in the oven for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the internal temperature is 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
8. Once the chicken is done, let it rest.
9. In the meantime, prepare your burger buns by toasting them in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
10. Once ready, assemble your chicken burger by adding lettuce, tomato, pickle, cheese, and chicken onto the bun.
11. Enjoy!
I hope you find this recipe helpful and easy to make. Please let me know if you have any other recipe requests, and I’ll be happy to suggest some more delicious and easy-to-make meals.
