As a National Geography Journalist, I had the opportunity to explore Ichikawa, a city known for its rich culture and stunning natural landscapes. Located in the Chiba prefecture, east of Tokyo, Ichikawa offers an ideal cityscape experience, combined with the serenity of nature.
The city of Ichikawa is filled with scenic beauty, and I fell in love with the natural landscapes the most. Hanamigawa riverside, located to the north of the city, is one of the city’s prime attractions. The river comes alive in spring with the blooming cherry blossoms, offering a spectacular view of the river along with the cherry blossoms. Kasai Seaside Park, located in the east of the city, is another stunning location, with its white sand beach and spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.
One of the things I disliked during my stay in Ichikawa is the cost of living. The living expenses in Ichikawa can be fairly high, with the average cost of living in a day being $90. However, the city is full of excitement, with ample things to do and see, making it a worthwhile destination.
