A 60-year-old world-renowned Chinese violinist, Xue Wei, reported his lost 200-year-old violin, valued at Bt18 million, to the police after leaving it in a taxi in Bangkok. Xue hailed a taxi from a Chinese restaurant and realized he left his violin behind after he got out. The taxi driver, Utain Denkhuntod, returned the violin the next day after realizing the mistake. Xue rewarded him with a gift voucher. Xue, known for his technical prowess and expressive performances, played the violin as a gesture of appreciation to the police at the station.
