Bangkok’s Pom Prap Sattru Phai district office plans to evict vendors who have taken over public spaces along the Phadung Krung Kasem Canal in the Bobae, Mahanak, and Saphan Khao areas. This decision comes after residents voted in favor of renovating the area and transforming it into a public recreational space. The Public Works Department of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration conducted an online survey to gather opinions from residents, with most respondents supporting the reclamation of the land from the vendors. The affected area includes the Bobae garment market, as well as the Mahanak and Saphan Khao markets.
