The first meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled to take place between July 4th and 6th, after the Election Commission confirmed the election of 400 constituency MPs and 100 party-list MPs. Move Forward party’s secretary-general, Chaithawat Tulathon, stated that the party will have its legal team receive certificates from the EC to confirm the election of their 150 MPs. All MPs from the party will report to parliament together on June 27th. Talks on ministerial appointments and other important positions within the coalition parties are expected to proceed smoothly. The issue of the House speakership between Pheu Thai and Move Forward parties is still unresolved.
