Thailand is the leading exporter of coconut meat and shells to China, accounting for 80.02% of the market share under the ASEAN-China free trade agreement. The export value for Thai coconut products in the second quarter of this year was estimated at $187.91 million, a 26.96% increase compared to the same period last year. Thai exports under 12 free trade agreements totaled $33.46 billion in the first five months of this year, with the top five agreements being the ASEAN FTA, ACFTA, JTEPA, TAFTA, and AIFTA.
