The Move Forward Party (MFP) emerged as the winner of the 2023 General Election in Thailand, but forming a government remains uncertain. With 152 seats, the MFP fell short of the required majority of 376 seats. MFP leader Pita Limjaroenrat reached out to five other parties in an effort to create a coalition, securing 310 MPs. However, gaining the support of 66 senators poses a challenge, as the Senate composition favors the former military regime. The official announcement of the election results is scheduled for July 13. The Thaiger will provide updates on the political developments.
