Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin recently visited Phuket to discuss the expansion of Phuket International Airport and the development of the province’s tourism industry. Srettha held meetings with airport officials to discuss plans for increasing capacity and accommodating the growing number of tourists visiting the island. He also met with local business operators and entrepreneurs to discuss provincial development and the challenges faced by the business community. Srettha later convened a meeting with tourism operators from Bangla Road to discuss extending operating hours. The next day, he plans to engage with business operators in Phang Nga to discuss wellness tourism.
