The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) predicts that motorcycle production in Thailand will surpass the initial target of 2.1 million units this year. The revival of the tourism sector and the easing of the global semiconductor shortage are cited as the primary factors for this optimistic outlook. The reopening of borders and the resurgence of tourism have led to increased demand, as many foreign tourists prefer motorcycle travel. Despite a decline in production capacity in July, domestic motorcycle sales saw an overall increase of 10% in the first seven months. Motorcycle exports also showed positive growth, with an increase in export value.
