A young girl in the eighth grade, known as Lalida, is battling a severe case of rhabdomyolysis, a condition that causes the breakdown of injured skeletal muscle. She is unable to walk and confined to her room as a result of a harsh school punishment. Lalida’s father revealed that a physical education teacher had ordered her to do 100 squat jumps as punishment for forgetting her badminton racquet. Despite sustaining a muscle injury, Lalida did not inform her parents and attended school the following day. However, her pain escalated and she was diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis. The school director and teacher have visited Lalida and offered a financial settlement, but her father is concerned about her health and wants disciplinary action against the teacher.
