Thai Airways ticket prices increase due to higher fuel costs

Thai Airways has increased fares by 10% to 15% due to higher jet fuel costs stemming from unrest in the Middle East. CEO Chai Eamsiri stated that the conflict involving a US and Israel coalition and Iran has led to a significant rise in jet fuel prices. The airline may need to raise fares further if fuel prices continue to escalate. Despite this, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand is offering domestic flights with reduced ticket prices for the upcoming Songkran festival, although passenger numbers are expected to be lower this year. The airline is focusing on survival measures and cutting unnecessary expenses to navigate through the challenging situation.
