Prime Minister-elect Srettha Thavisin is seeking cooperation from eight airlines, Airports of Thailand (AoT), and the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) to boost tourist arrivals in the last quarter of the year. The prime minister emphasized the importance of the peak tourist season in stimulating the economy and the need to prepare the country to accommodate the expected spike in arrivals. The president of AoT mentioned that the eight airlines will report on discussions regarding accommodating more flights from China. The CEO of Bangkok Airways and president of the Thai Airlines Association expressed readiness to collaborate with the government to increase tourist arrivals.
