Rescue leader urges petrol stations to ease limits for ambulances

In Chiang Mai, a rescue foundation leader is urging petrol stations to relax the 500 baht per vehicle per day fuel purchase limit, as it is hindering emergency medical operations and risking patient safety. Sahachat Limcharoenphakdi of the Phetkasem Foundation emphasized the impact on ambulances and rescue units, which need constant fuel supply for their life-saving work. The foundation operates numerous emergency medical units across Thailand, facing challenges in rural areas where ambulances travel long distances for multiple emergency cases daily. The plea is for practical access to fuel, not special treatment, to ensure effective emergency services.
