Officials of the Office of Secretariat of the House of Representatives held a rehearsal for the voting process of selecting the House speaker, deputy House speakers, and the new prime minister. The selection of the House speaker and two deputy speakers is expected to occur within 15 days after the official opening of the new parliamentary session. MPs will cast secret ballots to choose their preferred candidates for the speaker positions, while the selection of the prime minister will be decided through a joint session of MPs and senators. The candidate for prime minister must receive at least 376 votes from the joint session. Move Forward party leader Pita Limjaroenrat is currently the only candidate for prime minister, and the coalition parties need at least 63 votes from senators to secure his position.
