Thailand’s Ratch Group Plc plans to allocate 35 billion baht ($1.1 billion) for business expansion this year, with 29 billion baht going towards power generation investments. The company has already invested 651 million baht in power generation in H1 2021, and plans to invest in projects including a gas-fired co-generation plant, a wind power project, and a coal-fired thermal power plant. Ratch Group operates power plants with a total capacity of 7,873 MW and has 17 committed development projects. The remaining 6 billion baht will be allocated to the non-power sector, including the yellow and pink monorail lines in Bangkok and a biomass production facility in Laos. The company also plans to invest in hydrogen fuel production and export.
