Officials from the Provincial Administration Department (PAD) raided a Thai restaurant in Bangkok’s Rong Muang area, which was operating as an unlicensed pub. The raid was conducted after complaints from local residents about the noise and nuisance caused by the illegal pub. The complainants had previously reported the issue to the police and district office, but no action was taken. During the raid, 250 customers were found in the pub, including 25 underage Thai and Lao nationals. Additionally, seven undocumented migrant workers were discovered among the employees. The owner of the pub was arrested and charged with multiple offenses. The establishment may face closure for up to five years.
