The new Prime Minister of Thailand, Srettha Thavisin, is set to visit Phuket and Phang Nga this weekend to discuss ways to boost Thai tourism. Prime Minister Srettha and the tourism policy committee of the Pheu Thai Party will meet with local communities and the private sector to gather input. They will visit Phuket International Airport to learn about plans to expand the facility, meet with the private sector at a hotel in Phuket, and engage with business operators and tourists in Bang La Road and Patong Beach. They will also visit the Moracea by Khao Lak Resort in Phang Nga to discuss wellness tourism.
