Move Forward party leader Pita Limjaroenrat has announced that the party will seek to amend the lèse majesté law in Thailand, citing the changing context of society. Limjaroenrat hopes that senators will not use this as a reason to block his bid to become prime minister, as he believes it would cause unnecessary confrontation with the monarchy. Despite concerns over opposition, Limjaroenrat remains confident that he will gain enough support from senators to reach the required threshold of 376 votes. The Move Forward party also has several progressive bills to present before parliament, including those pertaining to labor, gender equality, and ethnic minorities.
