A series of mobile centres offering free rabies vaccinations for cats and dogs have been launched by Phuket’s Wichit Municipality. The initiative, led by the Division of Public Health and Environment, aims to help Phuket become the first rabies-free province in Thailand. The mobile clinics will run from July 10-14 at various locations in the city, and pet owners must bring their identification and medical history for their pets. The campaign comes after a recent surge in rabies cases in other provinces due to a lack of vaccinations.
