Thai authorities apprehended a Peruvian man at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok on Monday after the foreigner smuggled cocaine into the country. The Thai Customs Department reported that they received a tip-off about a suspicious passenger on an Air France flight from Lima, Peru, transiting in Paris, France, before arriving in Bangkok. Upon inspection, airport staff discovered 10 packs of liquid cocaine weighing 2,280 grams, valued at over 6.8 million baht, concealed inside the man’s body. The suspect has been arrested and will face charges for violating Customs and Narcotics Acts. This incident is part of the Thai authorities’ crackdown on drug trafficking involving foreigners.
