Forty Palang Pracharath MPs are expressing their support for Pheu Thai’s prime ministerial candidate, according to Pai Leeke, one of the MPs. The Palang Pracharath party, led by Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, has not yet been approached by Pheu Thai to join the coalition. However, the MPs are all in agreement to support the Pheu Thai candidate, as they believe the country urgently needs a government. Pheu Thai supporters have voiced their disagreement with the Palang Pracharath and United Thai Nation parties joining the coalition due to their involvement in the last coup. Pai, a former Pheu Thai MP, believes that his previous party can effectively lead the country through political and economic crises. There have been no discussions about Palang Pracharath joining the Pheu Thai-led coalition yet.
