An oil company in Ang Thong has been reported to police for overcharging on fuel by nearly 10 baht per litre, violating the Price of Goods and Services Act of 1999. A committee found that the company had been inflating costs and causing market instability by selling fuel at an unreasonably high price. The matter has been referred for legal action. The company was selling fuel at 40.50 baht per litre to a Sing Buri station, despite acquiring it for only 30.85 baht per litre from the depot.
