Newly appointed prime ministers Srettha Thavisin of Thailand and Hun Manet of Cambodia have pledged to enhance bilateral relationships and strengthen cooperation between their countries. The two leaders congratulated each other on their respective appointments and expressed their commitment to deepening friendship and collaboration. Outgoing Cambodian prime minister, Hun Sen, also conveyed his congratulations to Srettha and expressed his hope for increased cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia under their leadership. Srettha, a member of the Pheu Thai Party, has strong connections to former Thai prime ministers Thaksin Shinawatra and Yingluck Shinawatra. The close ties between the two families are expected to further bolster the relationship between Cambodia and Thailand.
