The Pheu Thai and Move Forward parties are expected to resolve their differences over the House speakership amicably before the upcoming vote on July 4th, according to Pheu Thai party leader Chonlanan Srikaew. He emphasized that the two parties will remain in the coalition as the democratically elected government. Chonlanan also dismissed rumors of a potential breakaway from the coalition. The voting procedure for the speakership requires the candidate to be present and give a vision speech, or they may not receive votes or be disqualified. The negotiation teams will meet to discuss the issue, and if settled, the decision will be brought to the parties for consideration. The coalition consists of eight parties and holds a majority of seats in the House.
