A young wild elephant named Tula, who had won the hearts of many with his friendly nature, sadly died at the age of less than a year. Tula had gotten lost in the Khao Soi Dao forest but was found and cared for by rangers. He suffered from metabolic bone disease and developed severe fractures in both front legs, leading to his death. Despite efforts to treat and monitor his condition, veterinarians were unable to save him. Tula had been rescued by officers from the Royal Thai Paramilitary Force Camp and was later treated for herpes virus disease.
