London (AP) – Mohamed Al Fayed, the Egypt-born businessman and owner of Harrods department store and Fulham Football Club, has passed away at the age of 94. Al Fayed mourned the death of his son, Dodi Fayed, who was killed alongside Princess Diana in a car crash in Paris 26 years ago. He believed the royal family orchestrated the accident due to their disapproval of Diana dating an Egyptian. Al Fayed also claimed that Diana was pregnant with Dodi’s child and planning to marry him. Investigations concluded that the crash was caused by their driver’s reckless actions and paparazzi pursuit. Al Fayed’s relationship with the royal family was recently portrayed in season five of “The Crown.”
