A Finnish tourist in Pattaya reported the theft of a Rolex watch and cash after inviting two Thai bar workers back to his hotel. Similar cases involving tourists being robbed in Pattaya have been reported recently, including an Indian tourist almost losing a gold necklace to four Thai nationals and a Russian man accusing Thai transwomen of stealing his motorcycle and phone. Other incidents involved a South Korean man losing money to transwomen and a group of Thai transwomen arrested for assaulting a German man and stealing cash. Police are investigating the thefts and reviewing CCTV footage for suspects.
