Eight US marines are in hospital, with one in intensive care, following a military aircraft crash in Australia that killed three marines. The Boeing MV-22B Osprey tilt-rotar aircraft crashed on Melville Island during a military exercise. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash, and efforts are underway to recover the remains of the deceased marines. The exercise has resumed, but there will be no more activities on the Tiwi Islands. The Osprey aircraft has a history of fatal crashes.
