BANGKOK — An investigation is underway after a woman lost her lower left leg when she got stuck in a travelator at Don Mueang Airport. The operator of the airport, Airports of Thailand (AOT), has formed a committee to investigate the accident, which includes engineering experts and the travelator manufacturer. All the moving walkways in the airport have been closed for a month for safety inspections. Experts believe the accident may have been caused by a broken yellow comb plate. The airport has pledged to compensate the victim and cover her medical expenses.
