The Bangkok North District Court has accepted a lawsuit filed by LGBTQ celebrity Prairie Praiwan against socialite Leena Jungjunja. The lawsuit stems from an incident in which Leena pulled a wig off Prairie’s head during a live stream of the “Mod Dam” YouTube program. Prairie, a former monk who is now transgender, was unaware that Leena had also been invited to appear on the program. Prairie claims that the incident was an act of harassment and caused shame in front of a large audience. The court has decided to accept the case, upholding the principle of treating everyone with dignity regardless of gender identity.
