Police in Thailand’s Chiang Rai province have questioned four witnesses who delivered 28 million baht ($850,000) in cash to police officers allegedly involved in an online gambling extortion scandal. The four individuals were captured on CCTV with the four suitcases. The cash, part of the 140 million baht allegedly extorted by the police gang, was raised by an individual named “Pe” from associates in a neighboring country. The money was then transferred to different accounts in Thailand and delivered to the police gang by the couriers. The whereabouts of the remaining 140 million baht remain unknown.
