A British couple in Chiang Rai, Thailand, have been arrested for allegedly defrauding people of around 24 million baht through a fraudulent Forex investment scheme. Kanok, 36, and his wife Thanyachanok, 37, were apprehended by a combined team of officers from the Investigation Division of the Metropolitan Police Bureau and the Police Cyber Taskforce. The couple had been providing online foreign currency exchange courses. The names of the suspects were not disclosed.
