A Chinese national was arrested in a Bangkok hotel for impersonating a police officer and extorting money from Thai victims, with an accomplice also being arrested. The operation led by Chachoengsao province police seized cash, land title deeds, and vehicles for investigation. The suspect deceived victims by pretending to be a police officer linked to a money laundering case. Kan Ya was arrested for collecting cash and delivering it to the main suspect. Police are warning the public to be vigilant and not to fall for similar scams. In a separate incident, seven Chinese nationals were arrested for illegal entry in Kanchanaburi.
