The Constitutional Court has granted Move Forward party and its leader Pita Limjaroenrat an additional 30 days to submit documents defending their proposed amendments to Thailand’s lèse majesté law. The extension was requested by the party, claiming they need more time to collect necessary documents. Court president Worawit Kangsasitiam clarified that the extension is normal and not a privilege, and that the court has discretion in granting extensions. If it is proven that Move Forward attempted to overthrow the democratic system, the court can order them to cease such activities, but dissolution of the party would require a separate process.
