A British man was assaulted by a group of Thai men in Pattaya after causing a disturbance at a convenience store. The incident occurred early in the morning when the intoxicated British man began harassing the Thai men who were present. The store owner had advised the British man to leave them alone but he ignored her. The police arrested the suspects, who confessed to the assault, stating that they were provoked by the victim’s disruptive behavior. The British man suffered injuries and is receiving medical care while the suspects are in police custody.
