The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has launched a project called “Beautiful Roads” to improve the city’s traffic islands, expressway lands, and public pavements. The initiative will involve enhancing road surfaces, traffic lights, light poles, on-road utilities, and reorganizing street food vendors. It will initially focus on major roads such as Ram Intra Road, Ramkhamhaeng Road, and Lat Phrao-Srinakarin Road. The project aims to plant trees on the roads, add greenery to pavements, and cover a total distance of 34 kilometers across 14 districts. The Public Works Department has extended the project to areas under flyovers and expressways. The goal is to improve the cityscape and enhance the experience for residents and visitors.
