A male elephant named Pha Tulu from the Karen tribe fatally stabbed his owner, Pha Phi Du Lerttikhamphon, with his ivory in northern Thailand. The incident occurred when Pha Phi Du attempted to take the elephant to his new owner but the elephant refused to obey. After being beaten by Pha Phi Du, the elephant retaliated and killed him. The elephant guarded his owner’s dead body for hours until the rescue team defused the situation. Villagers claimed the elephant understood human language and resisted relocation.
