A Thai man in Buriram province is in critical condition after doctors found a seven-centimetre needle lodged in his chest, almost piercing his heart. Boonlert Sattaram reported chest pain and was taken to the hospital for further checks, where an X-ray revealed the needle. He underwent a complex and high-risk surgery at Buriram Hospital. Family members suspect the needle belonged to Boonlert and may have been left on his bed. In a similar case, a woman in Buriram found a needle in her gum years after a dental visit. Boonlert’s condition post-surgery has not been made public yet.
