The shooting occurred after a 63-year-old man named Wanna demanded repayment of a loan exceeding 200,000 baht from a restaurateur named Sa-ad. The confrontation escalated, and Wanna shot Sa-ad in the right cheek with a .32 caliber handgun. Sa-ad was critically injured and emergency services rushed to the scene.
