The Investigation Division of the Metropolitan Police Bureau (IDMB) has apprehended 13 Vietnamese suspects who were operating an illegal gambling website in Pattaya. The gang managed to circulate around 300,000 baht per day through their illicit activities. The arrest was made after a Vietnamese victim reported a theft incident on August 21. IDMB officers conducted a thorough investigation, leading them to the Vietnamese suspects. The police also discovered that at least 20 Vietnamese nationals were residing in a Bangkok apartment. During the raid, officers seized laptops, mobile phones, monitors, and desktop computers. The group had various roles within the operation, including website promotion, administration, and managing finances. The suspects denied their involvement in the theft case. They now face charges related to arranging and promoting gambling, which can result in imprisonment and fines.
