An Indian court has dismissed Twitter’s lawsuit against the Indian government over New Delhi’s block orders on tweets and accounts. The Karnataka High Court fined Twitter 5 million Indian rupees ($61,000) and criticized the company for non-compliance. Twitter had filed the plea alleging that the government abused its power by ordering the removal of certain tweets, including political content. The court’s verdict comes after Twitter’s repeated refusal to comply with Indian law.
