Twitter is imposing limits on the number of tweets users can read due to an extended outage. Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, revealed the revised usage quotas, stating that verified account holders can view up to 6,000 posts per day, while unverified users are limited to 600 posts. Newly registered, unverified users face stricter restrictions with only 300 posts per day. Musk cited “extreme levels of data scraping” and “system manipulation” as the reasons for the limits. This comes as Twitter users experienced difficulties in accessing new tweets and the social media giant Meta prepares to launch its own Twitter alternative.
