The first smart door, the Masonite M-PWR Smart Door, is now available at The Home Depot for a price starting at $4,000. It features a Yale smart door lock and Ring video doorbell built-in, all powered by the home’s electrics. The door comes with integrated LED smart lighting, motion-activated lighting, and a door state sensor. It also has an emergency backup battery in case of power outages. While the door itself is designed to last for decades, the technology may need upgrading over time. The door is UL certified and has been installed in new-construction homes since 2022.
