Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) is making progress towards becoming the dominant electric vehicle charging system in the US. The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is working to support the NACS plug, making it easier for manufacturers to incorporate NACS connectors in their vehicles and charging stations. This move aims to enhance charging infrastructure in the country. ChargePoint also recently announced the inclusion of NACS connectors in its charging stations, followed by several other companies. As NACS gains momentum, states like Texas may reconsider their stance on the connector for government-funded EV charging stations.
