After facing backlash and protests, Reddit has finally disabled some third-party apps. Apollo, an iOS app that gained attention during the recent protests against Reddit’s new API pricing, no longer loads content from the platform. It seems that Reddit itself turned off the content, not the developer. BaconReader, another popular app, displays an error message, while Sync, an Android app, shows a page loading error. Although some users were outraged, Reddit stood its ground, resulting in the shutdown of some apps. However, some apps like Narwhal, Relay, and Now will still be available.
