SpaceX is expanding its rideshare program to meet the demand for launches to mid-inclination orbits. The company quietly announced the new Bandwagon program, which aims to cater to customers wanting to position satellites in mid-inclination orbits, such as remote sensing companies looking to enhance coverage over areas like Asia and the Middle East. As of now, SpaceX has already booked two Bandwagon missions for 2024 and two more for 2025. With the success of its previous Rideshare program, which has delivered 682 spacecraft to orbit, SpaceX’s new initiative could pose a significant threat to other small launch providers.
