Scriptic, the immersive storytelling platform, has raised $5.7 million in funding to expand its collection of phone-first interactive games developed using generative AI tools. The funding will also be used to hire additional TV and gaming talent and to introduce user-generated content. External writers will be given access to AI-enabled creator tools to share and monetize their own phone-first stories on the platform. The funding round was led by Bitkraft Ventures and saw participation from the Amazon Alexa Fund and Tower 26, among others. Scriptic has raised a total of $8.2 million and aims to become the Roblox of narrative.
