In response to age-verification laws in the US, Pornhub has blocked access in Utah. However, the popular tube site now faces legal challenges in Europe. Activists from the collective #StopDataPorn have filed a GDPR complaint in Italy, accusing Pornhub of illegally processing personal data and sharing it with unidentified third parties. The complaint alleges that Pornhub does not obtain consent when processing personal user data and unlawfully shares personal information. Researchers from Tracking Exposed and the pornhub.tracking.exposed browser extension provided evidence for the complaint.
