Microsoft has launched a new program to train workers on generative AI through its AI Skills Initiative. The program offers free courses via LinkedIn and includes certification. The courses cover introductory AI concepts and “responsible AI frameworks,” aiming to help learners keep up with the rapidly changing world. Microsoft is also providing a trainer toolkit for educators and a separate AI course for teachers. Additionally, the company has announced an open grant program, in collaboration with data.org, the AI for Good Lab, and GitHub, to support the training and empowerment of historically marginalized populations in using generative AI.
