Electrify America has announced plans to add support for Tesla’s NACS electric vehicle charging plug, also known as the North American Charging Standard. The company aims to incorporate the NACS connector into its existing and future charging stations by 2025, while still keeping the Combined Charging System (CCS) plug available. This move is significant for Tesla, as Electrify America operates one of the largest charging networks in North America with stations across 46 states. Moreover, Tesla’s NACS connector has already been adopted by major electric vehicle rivals, and industry standards organization SAE plans to adopt it as well.
